Choose an organization to donate to:
(1) Planned Parenthood: Government funding for Planned Parenthood is currently being threatened in a reconciliation bill used to repeal the Affordable Care Act (AKA: Obama Care). Planned Parenthood is a 100-year old, trusted health care provider, an informed educator, a passionate advocate, and a global partner helping similar organizations around the world. Planned Parenthood delivers vital reproductive health care, sex education, and information to millions of women, men, and young people worldwide. Donations are used to support important reproductive health care for women, men, and young people as well as education and advocacy programs.
(2) American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU): For almost 100 years, the ACLU has worked to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States. Recently, certain immigrants' rights and liberties have been threatened in the form of a "Muslim Ban" or "Travel Ban" (the official term for the Executive Order is not completely known). The EO states that immigrants (including Green Card + Visa holders) from certain countries are banned from entering the United States for a pre-determined length of time. The ACLU is working for the people effected by this order (along with many other issues) in an effort to protect their rights within the constitution and the law. They are a nonprofit, nonpartisan, do not receive federal funding and are completely supported by donations from individuals and private organizations.
