- Why soy wax?
Why soy wax?
Alright. Let's get down to the facts. Why would you choose a soy candle over any other type of wax candle?
Well, it isn't common knowledge (unless you spend your days trolling Wikipedia and Google for random information), but paraffin wax candles can actually be a harmful addition to your house-hold decor and lighting needs. Paraffin is a byproduct of Petroleum. So, you're essentially burning gasoline in your home when you've lit a paraffin candle. In addition to paraffin, the other chemicals added to this type of wax also release harmful carcinogens into the air that you and your family are breathing in. Another icky downfall is that over time, the soot that is produced by this type of wax will leave a yellow-ish residue on your walls...yuck!
Soy on the upside
When choosing a soy candle as an alternative to the more common waxes available, you can expect a cleaner burn in addition to a 50% longer burn time! 100% soy wax is much softer, comparatively, allowing a slower burn. The soy wax used in Soy Much Brighter candles does not unleash any gross soot or harmful chemicals into the air. It also offers a quick and easy clean-up in the event of any "oopsies"! Soy wax comes straight from the soy bean itself. Therefore making these candles a plant-based product that is biodegradable and safe for the environment. #motherearththanksyou
A Wood Wick for the win
The all natural wooden wicks used in the Soy Much Brighter candles are sourced from the best organic native hardwood. They also contribute to the slower burn time of the candle and offer a warm audible crackle while lit, giving you the feel of that brick fireplace you've always wanted.
